Rich Hostel

Very good.

There were insects in the dirty room, and finding the place was difficult. The elevator to the hostel is inside a building, but there’s no sign for it on the first floor or any directions showing that hostels are there. I don’t recommend this place.

There’s no front desk, and you can’t find the hotel name on the first floor or on the floor listings by the elevator. They’ve just split a unit in Chungking Mansions into a few rooms and called it a hotel. I was completely fooled. I clearly booked a twin room with two beds through Agoda, but when we arrived, there was a bunk bed instead. Don’t come expecting a cheap but decent Korean motel. This place is truly awful, worse than a cheap inn from the 50s or 60s. It’s neither a hotel nor a motel, just nothing. I left and immediately booked a nearby hotel for 570,000 won. In this heat, don’t come here and end up having a huge fight with your travel companion. Book somewhere else. I’m telling you nicely.
