The staff were really, really friendly, but the room was so narrow there wasn't even room to open a suitcase. Downstairs there's a gym with an adjustable bench and a set of dumbbells on the floor.

The bathroom is small too, and the room barely has space for a small suitcase, despite being meant for two. They provide disposable shower towels instead of regular ones, and they're much too thin and small for an adult. If you're travelling alone and aren't too concerned about room quality, it might suit you. I'd bring my own towels.
My stay was terrible. The room was filthy, the sheets and blankets had a strong fox-like smell, the floor looked long overdue for cleaning, and the sink kept leaking. The neighborhood has illegal sex shops all around, so don't stay here unless you're prepared for that.
The upper-floor units have more room, though the soundproofing is still poor. You can hear the elevator from the unit across the street, so comfort depends on who your neighbors are. The lower units are small but have all the equipment, and the decor still has a hotel feel from when the building used to be a hotel.
At 179-181 Po Kee Lee Street, this 18-story serviced apartment building was completed in 2016 and has three roughly 10-square-meter bedrooms on each floor. Monthly rent includes the shared spaces. The rooms upstairs may have a panoramic view on one side, over the hills of Chatham Road and Ho Man Tin. There's a back alley beside the entrance, and Ho Man Tin Railway Station is reachable over the pedestrian bridge on Wuhu Street. That may draw students, or people hoping for sudden wealth, as the couplet at the entrance suggests. The building stands on a mostly old tenement street, with many buildings more than 50 years old. Shops downstairs tend to do maintenance and repairs, while the far end is lined with businesses selling incense, candles, paper flowers, and other decorative items. The surroundings are extremely poor. The building's own ground-floor shops have been vacant for a long time and still seem unrented.
