ZEN Hostel Zi Xin Haiphong Mansion

Hong Kong can be tricky for accommodation, but this place had what we needed and left me impressed. I spent the first night in the female dorm, then moved to a double room when my friend arrived. The dorm was clean and comfortable, with curtains. The double was small, which is standard in HK from what I've seen, but had everything we needed. My favorite surprise was the balcony beside our room, overlooking a huge park. The staff used it to dry laundry, but I was so glad to find it. One of the best accommodation views I've seen in Hong Kong. Thank you! 🙏✨

The location is hard to beat: the subway entrance is right across the street, and there are plenty of places to eat on the block or just nearby. I stayed four nights in the 10-person dorm and had a great time. The ladies looking after the place were lovely and kept it clean. Having people on site felt much easier than the self-check-in places where a problem can turn into a whole ordeal. The bunks were sturdy and comfortable, with curtains for privacy, a light, an international charging socket, and a small locker. Bring your own lock. Mine fit my laptop, tablet, drone, camera, and documents. There's no kitchen, but there is a small microwave, kettle, and refrigerator.

The stay was okay, though a miscommunication with the staff made things confusing.

Really friendly, and I had a good stay.
