Shixu Meisu Whole House Smart Hotel (the Old Town of Lijiang Bailong Plaza Store)

The old town's waterwheel is a prominent landmark, and the place has grown from a historic hub into somewhere that accommodates modern visitors while keeping its old design. There are wide paths, a stream, and shops, and the town's history still comes through. It's well worth a visit. We found hidden paths leading to other sights, and came across a hotel, shops, and tea houses that looked almost too exclusive to enter. We didn't have much time to explore them, though. Even with all the crowds, we felt relaxed and peaceful there. There's a lot of walking from the entrance to the end of the shopping area, so wear proper shoes. If you like taking photos, there are plenty of spots that look great for Instagram. If you're in Lijiang, Yunnan, I'd highly recommend stopping by. You can really sense the past in the wooden houses and streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mornings are calm and peaceful, while at night the lights come on and the whole old town feels lively.

Lijiang Old Town has a lively nightlife, especially around SiFang St, and it feels quite different there during the day. It's nice to visit both in daylight and at night to experience the contrast.
