Jiuzhaigou National Park is convenient to visit from here. The property brings together two Marriott hotels, both with an elegant look and quality furnishings and materials. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the breakfast restaurant felt roomy and uncrowded, with plenty of dishes to choose from.

I’m concerned about how Marriott handles guests’ personal information and prepares its staff to protect it. We checked in around 6pm on 8 Sept, and the staff photocopied all our passports. When I came back from dinner at about 9pm, the copies were still sitting at the reception counter, where anyone arriving could see our personal details. I was shocked and asked why they had been left out. The staff member apologized and said they had been busy because a large group arrived earlier and she forgot to put the copies away. She seemed not to understand the real issue, which is the importance of protecting guests’ information. This has left me questioning Marriott’s handling of personal data and staff training.
