Hilton Garden Inn Sanya

The shower pressure was AMAZING, and breakfast was fine, with attentive staff. But I would NOT recommend staying here. The air conditioning in our King Room Balcony Seaview barely worked: after four hours set to 16 degrees with the fan on max, the room went from 30 to only 28 degrees. I called reception and they sent a technician, who just removed the intake filter. Even with my basic knowledge of air conditioning, I knew that wouldn’t help. The hotel never offered to move us. I was exhausted, so I fell asleep anyway. Another room in our booking had faulty air conditioning too. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so it turned into a steam room. The room card was also terrible at registering. You had to hold it against the sensor for a good two or three seconds. I’d clearly stated how many people were staying, but they didn’t leave enough towels. When I asked for more, they arrived after 20 minutes, and staff handed them over rudely, as if I owed them an apology. Calls to reception mostly went unanswered, though staff were courteous enough when reached.
