The rooms were relatively large, and I liked having automatic sunscreen and window shades. The hotel is new, but it felt like they cut corners and skipped attention to detail. The sound insulation is basically nonexistent. You can hear a tap running in a room across the hall, nearby doors slamming, street noise, and people talking in the hallway. I was also woken several times in the night by people smoking in their rooms. I told the front desk, but they did nothing, saying I probably smelled smoke because people were smoking in their rooms. If you’re trying to get a good night’s sleep, don’t stay here.

The hotel was awesome, and I loved the room and facilities. Near the lobby there’s a pantry called the “Fairfield Market,” with a vending machine that’s basically a mini convenience store. It also has a microwave and a coffee machine that grinds beans, both accessible 24 hours. Just a heads-up, the Google Maps pin I saved as “the green banner” is wrong. The actual spot is marked by the “red pin” or “my phone location” on the map picture I posted.

The hotel was good, but most of the staff can’t speak English, so you’ll need Chinese. I wouldn’t recommend it to foreign visitors. The air-conditioning is centrally controlled, and if the hotel hasn’t switched between heating and cooling, you could be uncomfortable, so check with them at check-in. There’s no room service, and the nearby food shops and restaurants close at 8pm.
