My stay was only one night, which was a shame, since this was one of the better hotel experiences I've had in a long time. Dining options looked tempting, though I only tried the welcome drink. The rooms are spacious and well laid out, with nice bathroom and closet amenities, plus a coffee and tea station. I liked that they provided ground coffee and a French press instead of a pod machine. Hotel Indigo Hongqiao feels special as soon as you arrive. The doormen and front of house staff are dressed smartly, and the small lobby has plenty of charm. The design is contemporary, with a Euro-American retro feel and thoughtful details throughout.

The breakfast had plenty of choices, and the top-floor fitness room was quite good. My room was spacious and the hotel was good overall, though the service could have been better. The air conditioning stayed too warm even after I turned the setting down. I was there for two nights on a business trip, and the New Year's deal included breakfast at a good price. I'd still book here again.

The rooms were comfortable in both size and design, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the creative decor, which brings in local culture, as well as the cafe downstairs and bar on the 10th floor. The hotel opened in July 2018 beside the expo center and transport links to the train and airport. Paradise Walk, a large upscale mall, is right next door. It costs a bit more than the nearby Intercontinental, but the more personal experience made the extra worthwhile for me.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the hotel is handy for restaurants and shopping centers in a nice neighborhood. It's new, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable.

The mattress wasn't the best, and the restaurant could offer more choice, though maybe I'm being picky. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel and the staff were friendly.
