The Bund scenery from Hyatt on the Bund was fantastic, and the location was great. It seems to be doing very well with guests, but there was a serious shortage of staff and the service training needs to be improved. The breakfast room felt cramped, too, and there wasn't a very wide selection. Our main problems came from service. At check-in, the front desk suggested paying extra for a large suite, saying there was only one per floor, and promised a third bed would be set up while we were out. When we got back at 9:00 PM, it still hadn't been done, so we had to urgently ask housekeeping to bring one. We couldn't rest until almost 10:00 PM. The next morning, our family's takeout was ready at 8:53 AM and put in the Hyatt's delivery robot. By 9:40 AM it still hadn't arrived. Customer service transferred our call several times, but nobody could find out what had happened or give us an answer. We went downstairs ourselves, and the staff there didn't know where it was either. They eventually searched for a long time and retrieved it, which pushed our breakfast back considerably. I was disappointed with the Hyatt's service. I had hoped for a five-star stay, but the price just didn't feel worth it for what we received.

Check-in was quick, she explained the facilities and answered my questions with a warm smile, and she arranged a room that suited my location preference when she noticed it. Before I left, she also shared useful weather and travel tips. I was impressed by her professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care. Anisa’s service reflects well on Hyatt on the Bund, and my stay there was smooth and memorable. I recently stayed at the hotel and really appreciated the front desk team's help, especially hers. Highly recommended if you're visiting Shanghai!

The room was clean, updated, and laid out well, with a view just like the pictures. The Bund itself is magnificent, and the hotel's location is great. Check-in was a bit of a pain, though, and the staff didn't seem as friendly or helpful as people at other hotels in China. My stay was short, so maybe I just got a bad sample. I'd still recommend the hotel.

We got a free upgrade, plus afternoon tea, a light dinner during happy hour, and breakfast. The fitness center feels commercial-level, and there's a pool with a hot tub. The room had a great view, and the rooftop bar looks out over an astonishing Shanghai skyline. This hotel on the Bund is one of a kind. I can't imagine anything better.

The Club access was nice and very quiet, though the selection there felt a little limited. The views of Shanghai are great, and it's very close to North Bund. Rooms were very clean, but could use an update.
