Shanghai Snow World Hotel, Vignette Collection by IHG

It's so convenient staying here. We can get to Snow World without leaving the hotel, just taking the elevator from our floor to the Ski Concierge on the 16th floor. That means we can visit Snow World several times during its 10 am to 10 pm hours. We also found plenty of restaurant choices in the Snow World area, at reasonable prices. A few places even cost less than we'd expected, and we've saved a lot compared with living at home in Australia. The international breakfast bar has a huge selection, and the food is scrumptious. I haven't eaten this much breakfast in ages! We've only been here for two days of our planned seven day stay at Shanghai Yaoxue Snow World resort, and already want to give the hotel five stars. Since arriving, everyone we've dealt with, from bellboys and restaurant staff to the maids, ski concierge, pool and gym staff, has been polite and done their job well. Most don't really speak English, but we've managed with the iPhone translation app. Zoe, the hotel concierge, has been wonderful at her job. She knows so much and goes out of her way to explain everything we need. Wayne at the ski concierge is also excellent. He's fluent in English and clearly explained our equipment and the special services. Elvis at the ski concierge is super nice and always willing to help. Zoe and Wayne are the main reason we'll want to stay here again in the near future. This morning, our DiDi Ride Share App driver marked himself as having arrived at the hotel entrance, but he wasn't there, even though we'd prepaid in the app. Jack Yu, one of the bellboys, saw us struggling to find another ride. He couldn't speak English, but gestured that he wanted to help, and with his help we got a ride in no time. The food, convenience, and helpful people have made us eager to come back soon.

The facilities are fun and interesting. Be sure to try the nearby Japanese restaurant!

It feels more like a resort than a regular hotel, and it's one of the best places I've stayed. The hotel is beautiful and quiet, with restaurants and even a Starbucks. Some rooms look out over Snow City. It's right by the Space Museum, Ocean Park, and Water Park, so you can spend a couple of days visiting things nearby and enjoy a change of scenery. 😍♥️♥️

The ski concierge made our snowboarding trip much easier. You can rent their independent ski equipment in advance without queuing, and the gear is different from what the ski resort has. The staff explained everything professionally and helped adjust it. When we got tired, being able to go straight to the lounge for a short rest was especially handy. We also had dinner at Snow Domain teppanyaki on the rooftop, overlooking the ski resort. The service was excellent: we ordered the 899 NTD set meal, our water was topped up quickly, the food came promptly, and they cleared the dishes soon after we finished. The food was delicious and high quality. I stayed from May 8th to 11th to learn snowboarding. The airport is about a 30 minute drive away. After we contacted the hotel by email in advance, they generously upgraded us to a Deluxe Room on the 17th floor. It was very spacious, especially the bathroom, which gave us room to put on and take off our snowboarding gear each day. From arrival onward, the front desk, concierge, and restaurant staff were so welcoming. I don't think I've ever been looked after so well. The hotel's WeChat concierge was particularly helpful and thoughtful with every request. Our last flight was at 8 pm, and the front desk kindly let us check out much later so we could shower after our final day of sightseeing before the flight. They said the exact time depends on room availability, so I won't give it here. They were thoughtful throughout, and I was extremely satisfied with a comfortable, heartwarming stay.
