Maixinge Boutique Hotel

Communication was easy and stress-free because the staff used translation apps confidently, understanding guests and replying right away in their own languages. They were warm and cheerful throughout, too. From carrying heavy bags and calling taxis to ordering food for me, they were always ready to help and often checked in with a genuine smile. I felt very welcome and cared for.

There’s a LAWSON right beside the hotel, though it has limited stuff. Breakfast runs from 8am to 930am. The staff were courteous and friendly, and told some very loud guests who were smoking that smoking wasn’t allowed inside. The area’s quiet and not as crowded as near town, which I liked. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk from Yuanshen Road (Line 14) Exit 4: cross at the traffic light on your right, then turn left. My room wasn’t ready when I got there at 1620, so I waited another 15 minutes and made a latte with the coffee machine while I waited.

Nice staff and good food. It’s a good place to stay, with good service to Disneyland and Pudong airport.

It’s a peaceful spot for relaxing, though not close to the tourist areas. The subway station is nearby, which makes getting around Shanghai convenient. Rooms are spacious and generally clean, but the supplies are limited, including soap, shampoo, and laundry hangers. Reception staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Breakfast had local dishes and was excellent value for the price.
