Vienna International Hotel (Shanghai Jinshajiang Road)

I'm four days into a seven-day quarantine here after coming from Germany for work. The building and front desk made me nervous at first because maintenance seems to have been neglected while it served as a quarantine hotel, but my room turned out to be acceptable. To keep your sanity, stay in the moment instead of worrying about what could happen later. Only grocery delivery is allowed, no hot food, so you have to get used to Chinese food for every meal. With my Western palate, I usually like two of the four dishes served and eat a decent amount of rice. The front desk staff are friendly, though the language barrier can be tough. WeChat's translation feature works best. The experience has been better than I expected.
