The only issue was the street-facing room I was given. Street noise kept coming in without a break, so I'd want a room away from the street if I stay again. I definitely would like to return. I stayed one night. The room was large and clean, with a comfortable bed and bedding, and the AC worked very well. Breakfast was fantastic. The surroundings were interesting, with nostalgic displays of old China, and Seven Treasures town was a short walk away. I enjoyed visiting it.

It's close to Hongqiao Airport, though a little far from downtown Shanghai, which made sightseeing inconvenient. Still, it's a lovely, very clean hotel with lots of greenery and a thoughtfully designed interior. I stayed during Chinese New Year in 2025 and received a special gift in a beautiful red box with a ribbon. Near the front desk, there were free sweets, tea, and essential oils to use in the room. My room was much bigger than expected, and I could listen to records, with many available to borrow near the desk. There was even equipment for grinding my own coffee beans, which made the stay very comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variety, with bread as well as Chinese food. I was very satisfied and felt it was worth more than the price. I'd like to stay here longer next time.

This hotel felt a little out of place in the local neighborhood, lol. It was clean and reasonably priced, though, and I was so satisfied that I booked it again for my next Shanghai trip. I definitely recommend it if you're flying into Hongqiao Airport. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, plus a small night market and a shop with very cheap, fresh fruit. You can use a translator for the language. There's also a famous Chinese sauna close by. Don't take the pajamas in the room, you have to buy them. You can borrow LPs from the lobby to play in your room, bring your own aroma oils, and even make your own coffee. I didn't try that since it seemed like a hassle, lol. I'm definitely going back to enjoy everything. Highly recommend, hehe.

The reception staff were very friendly and offered tea bags, snacks, candies, and cookies. You could also take vinyl records back to your room. Breakfast was a little limited, and the coffee from the machine wasn't very good. The hotel has fantastic design, and although it's a bit far from the city center, there's an old town nearby to explore and plenty of good restaurants. Unfortunately, the door opposite my room was badly damaged and hadn't been fixed. It looked to me as if it might have been vandalized during a police emergency. That gave me a bad feeling and put a damper on my mood. Such a shame, since otherwise I'd rate the hotel very highly.

Qibao Old Street is nearby, so you can visit a water town without making the trip to Suzhou or Hangzhou. Vanke Mall is there for shopping, and the Line 9 station nearby makes getting to the city center convenient. It's a reasonably priced, quiet hotel close to Hongqiao Airport, about 40 yuan by taxi. They offer check-in at any time, and the place has a vintage, retro gallery feel. The reception is friendly, and breakfast is excellent.
