This place also has five rooms for guests, alongside its well-known restaurant, where the yak steak is fantastic. The building is 300 years old and was the first to remain intact after the 2014 fire. The one next door is new. Amazing place.

The owner speaks English, and the food was even better than I expected. Be sure to try a Shangri-la’s wine. I’d definitely come back; it’s a really nice place.

We had a very good, authentic lunch in this memorable setting. It came to 80 RMB per person, and we ate well. The interior and the view are fantastic too, so we regret not staying overnight.
