Capri by Fraser Shenzhen

This hotel apartment complex has only just opened and sits across from Hong Kong, as part of Shenzhen. The rooms are grand, nicely equipped, and have excellent bedding. Upstairs, there's a lovely infinity pool, and the restaurant serves one of the best Western-style breakfasts. Highly recommend it.

There's plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet on the top floor, though the range isn't especially large and the food line gets long. The room price is very reasonable, and the view looks across at one of Hong Kong's last remaining areas of undeveloped nature. The infinity pool is well known on local social media, so lots of people come looking for selfies. Just keep in mind it looks good only on sunny days. Guest parking is free, but the ground floor and B1/F spaces fill up easily.

I've stayed here twice and would come back again. The rooftop pool is amazing and has a nice view, and my room was clean. Breakfast was really good, with international options as well as Chinese food. The staff were okay, and the manager spoke English very well.

The king-size bed was really comfortable, though the pillows were much too soft. The room was generally clean and spacious.
