The room was huge, and they provided an amenities kit. The bed was so comfortable, and the towels were lovely. I loved the toilet too, especially the strong water pressure. The hotel is perfectly placed close to the train. Everything here is PERFECT!! 20/10

You’re right by the promenade, with malls and a metro station close to the lobby, so the location is great. The food was great too, and the staff gave super nice service. Wonderful.

The bed was large and comfortable, and the location is very good with fair prices. The lobby looks beautiful, but the rooms feel dated, especially the carpets and curtains, which need a thorough clean and dusting. The hotel is decent, though quite a few things need updating. Food gets 4+ stars, but the advertised all-day room service ends at 21:00 at the Four Seasons restaurant and 22:30 at the one on the 2nd floor. If you’re not Chinese, ordering meals and other services can be difficult. Many require Alipay or WeChat, and most of the very nice staff don’t speak English. I’d definitely book a suite for the space and perks like the 16:00 late checkout. The lounge wasn’t very nice, so I didn’t return after my first visit. Drinks were limited to the bare minimum and there was almost no food. The spa attendant said they only offered 2 basic massage services, even though the booklet listed many more. They also said the pool closed at 22:00, while the official closing time is 23:00. It’s not a bad hotel, but too many things aren’t as advertised. The prices are okay, though Kempinski isn’t quite at the level of competitors like Langham and Marriott for a 5-star hotel.

We only stayed one night in a standard room, so there wasn’t anything to complain about with the room, location, or view. What really stood out was the concierge. He was so kind, friendly, and caring, helped us a lot, and made sure everything worked out. We didn’t need special assistance, but we always left smiling. It shows how much the staff’s attitude matters to the customer experience. I hope management appreciates him. :)
