The hotel sits in a protected landscape area, with a lake in the middle. It was quiet, and the staff were incredibly nice. There was some language barrier, but they tried their best. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped. It's about a 30 minute taxi ride from the main sightseeing attractions, and the fare was around 50 CNY, roughly 7 USD or 6 EUR. This place is a GEM, so don't let the negative reviews put you off. Recommended! The hotel's address may be wrong. This Chinese address should take you to the lobby: Shushan Road, Tong'an Town, Huqiu District, Suzhou City88No. 88, Suzhou New District Hilton Hotel, located in Shushan Ecological Village

We had a nice stay, and the countryside setting made it easy to enjoy the nature and peaceful cricket sounds throughout the day. Our villa room was spacious and really nice, and the staff were very helpful and supportive. There's 24/7 golf cart service, so you can call reception whenever you want a ride to or from your villa. It was a really nice experience for the price. Note: the map location is wrong. Follow the address in Chinese maps only.

The lobby, room, and garden were beautiful, and the staff were all friendly. Only a few could speak English. Breakfast was average. We enjoyed staying there and wished we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Suzhou New District from May 5-8, 2025. On our first night, a broken jacuzzi lounge seat injured me in the hotel's hot springs area, and I had to go to the hospital. Pictures are attached. Staff quickly helped me get medical attention, but the injury affected the rest of our stay, and I couldn't use the pools or hot springs as intended. Many other amenities in the hot springs area were broken or not working properly. The hotel offered no compensation during our stay, and both hotel management and Hilton corporate have denied multiple refund requests. I'm deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability and care for guests. This does not meet expectations for the Hilton brand.

I can’t work out how to report that this location is wrong in China, but the location shown here definitely isn’t correct.
