The rooms were generally decent, though dark, but the way customers are handled left me with no desire to return. The fridge wasn't cold, and they wouldn't accept my complaint. The German restaurant was among the worst I've tried in China. The food wasn't good, and they served German beer from 5-liter disposable kegs, mixing wheat beer with Lager. After that we ordered two Gin Tonic, but nothing more was available. We'd first tried bottled beer, but after four bottles that was unavailable too. It felt like overpriced lodging, not somewhere I'd want to stay.

The staff were friendly and really helpful. The place has a distinctive European courtyard style, and looks beautiful both outside and in.

There was a good range of beers at the nice bar, and the small breakfast room was well stocked. The room had everything I needed and the place felt distinctive and cute, but the air conditioning was a real problem. I had to switch rooms because it didn't work, and the AC in the second room was barely adequate.
