We really liked the hostel's tour service. My friend and I spent a day visiting Qinghai Lake and several appealing sights for 150 CNY per person, and had a great time. There are lots of tour options. Getting around Xining was easy too, with a bus stop close by. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English really well.

The washroom could use more light, and there aren't enough shower stalls or sinks. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful. The shared space was pleasant for meals and getting together, and our room had a roomy luggage locker.

The owner and staff were so welcoming that I'd happily stay here again. There's a little golden retriever around too, and it's quite the food lover. A really lovely place, you'll see when you visit.
