Yancheng Marriott Hotel

The staff were warm and helpful, and the hotel was clean. Service was great.

The breakfast could have been better, though the service was very good. The building feels modern, with excellent security, and the interior is simple but elegant.

I found the room really comfortable, and the staff were very courteous. The facilities were good value too.

There are a few small rivers around the hotel, with nice walking paths for a stroll. Public buses stop nearby, which makes getting around a bit easier. For shopping and meals, the RT-Mart in the building’s basement and an American restaurant chain on the first floor are handy. Several other places to eat are close by, and another large department store is about a 5-10 minute walk away. The department store that used to be next door has closed because of operating problems. The lobby is grand, and the front desk team were friendly, professional, and polite. They also offered to help with luggage without being asked, which was a nice touch. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, with a full set of amenities. There are around forty TV channels, though only a few are in languages other than Chinese. Breakfast runs half an hour longer on weekends and has plenty of choices, but the ingredients are fairly ordinary. The hotel feels up to Marriott standards.
