The hotel is beautiful and new, and the staff are very friendly. The sea-view rooms are huge and luxurious. Everything was great and worth recommending, though the restaurant staff seemed inexperienced, as if they’d only just started the job. Communication in English wasn’t possible there. I’m still looking forward to going back.

The coastal setting is a big part of the appeal here, with many rooms looking out over the sea, especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Inside, the marine and harbor influences come through in the colors and materials, and the public areas have plenty of detail while still feeling comfortable and refined. Hotel Indigo Yantai Golden Coast has a relaxed seaside atmosphere and balances its design, views, and resort feel well.

There weren’t many places to eat nearby, which was a little disappointing. The hotel itself feels fresh and very clean, and the ocean view from the room was fantastic. I even enjoyed a half-bath while looking out at the sea.
