The food was a highlight for us, especially the generous noodle breakfast, and the cats were friendly, with one curling up to a child. We stayed two nights in late December on a family trip. The inn is a good walk from the main road, though staff helped with our luggage. The path down to the inn means an uphill walk back out. Our room had a spectacular view, and the beds and pillows worked well for us. Since it was winter, though, the room felt cold. The heater couldn't warm the toilet area enough, which seemed to be the one design drawback. The morning scenery was amazing, depending on the weather, and so beautiful that a camera couldn't really capture it.

The manager and staff were kind and really helpful when we were unsure how to get around. Breakfast and dinner are available, since guests are usually out sightseeing during the day. The food was delicious, and the beds were very comfortable. The sunrise over the rice terraces under a blanket of clouds was spectacular. It's a bit of a walk from the road, but the staff help with luggage. The toilet seat can get wet because it's right beside the shower, though I didn't mind. The place felt cozy and local, and there are three lovely cats around. This is a genuine recommendation, not an ad. I'd book without hesitation.
