The atmosphere was nice, with murals of Márquez & friends, and the staff were helpful. Still, the room was so small and basic that I couldn't get comfortable. I really hate soft mattresses with plastic covers right under the sheets. I woke up sweating. If I could, I'd give it 3,5 stars. It's also really close to the Márquez museum.

I managed to book and find the place with my broken Spanish, so most people should be fine. The host Seno Morelli is exceptionally kind, though he speaks little English. It's a clean, comfortable hostel with a lovely backyard, and an excellent option if you're looking to stay in Aratacata (Macondo).

For a small town, this is the best hotel or hostel available. Management is friendly, and the rooms and amenities are very clean.

The fan in room 5 makes it hard to sleep. Otherwise, it's a comfortable area, with a patio kiosk and an excellent fridge where you can share memorable moments. Service is very good, the people are very kind, prices are affordable, and there's private parking.
