There’s a lovely peaceful atmosphere, and the views around the hotel are beautiful. It’s about a 10 minute walk down to the city centre, and I’ve included a few photos of the walk. The hotel itself is almost stunning, from the rooms to the furnishings, and the staff were very helpful. It was a delight to stay.

From the rooftop pool, the view of town is great, and the owner’s artwork around the place is nice. Breakfast is very basic. There’s no TV in the rooms, and the bathroom is open air. With the bedroom window shut, it can get a little stuffy. Keeping the lights off means fewer bugs in the room, but if a few flying insects really bother you, this might not be the place for you. It’s nice and quiet, while still close to town.

I stayed here on a small group tour and loved the simple, artistic design, open to the elements. The outdoor shower, rooftop pool, and ground floor space were great, and breakfast was lovely. There’s no other food or drink on site. The beautiful art and local materials are used throughout, and the owner, an artist, also supports local artisans and makers who are bringing back traditional techniques. It’s about a 10 min walk uphill from the centre of town. An easy tuk tuk ride if it’s hot.

The pool is a dream, the attention is spot on, and the outdoor showers are the best. The rooms are spacious, and the simple decor is really smart. Breakfast is included. This is absolutely brilliant and, by far, the best value for money hotel in the whole town. I’ll stay there every time I go to Barichara!

The hotel has a nice, artistic feel, and it's about a 10 minute walk from town. We were the only guests while we were there, though, and the staff barely greeted us. Breakfast was just okay.
