Hotel Jardin De Tequendama

This was the worst hotel ever. They wait until you’ve settled in before asking you to sign their visitor policy, which charges 31.00 per visitor, whether it’s a doctor, nurse, or anyone else. They don’t care if you’ve already paid for the room. If you don’t read or understand Spanish, they’ll have you sign without reading or explaining the policy. They also refused to refund the unused days when I’d paid a week in advance and wanted to leave after one day because I disliked the policy. They tried to keep me there until checkout day had passed. Martha Santa Maria is much better: they allow visitors and treat you like family.

The price was good, the staff were friendly, and it’s close to everything.

Breakfast came with complimentary fruit, which was very good, and there’s a simple but delicious restaurant right next door. It was a perfect location for my doctor’s office, with clinics, drugstores, and bakeries nearby. The hotel is simple, with small rooms, but they have what you need for a few relaxing days: a refrigerator, air conditioning, cable TV, and hot water. The place was extremely clean. I was surprised it was cleaner than other chain hotels that cost more.
