My last night in Colombia was here so I'd be near the airport, and that was a huge mistake. The woman with glasses at the front desk was extremely rude. The beds and towels were dirty, the toilet was already dirty when I arrived and completely broke after I used it once. There was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom, just one roll of half-used toilet paper. The shower had no hot water, the AC didn't work, and neither did the TV. Breakfast was awful: cold eggs, dry bread, and cold coffee. This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it under any circumstances, especially if you're American or used to basic cleanliness and customer service. It makes a one-star hotel in the Slums of Detroit look like a five-star resort.

The hotel is north of Barranquilla and well located, but the customer service was awful. The reception staff seemed uninterested in taking proper care of guests, and the reception ladies weren't trained to offer a friendly smile. The rooms and beds looked old and poorly maintained. It was noisy and dark. There are plenty of reasonably priced places in Barranquilla, so book somewhere else.

There was garbage under the nightstand, nothing in the mini fridge, the mirror lights didn't work, and the bathroom needed a VERY deep clean. The shower had no hot water. I also believe the cleaning staff stole my necklace. Do yourself a favor and stay at the IBIS budget around the corner.

The balcony had an amazing view, and breakfast was freshly cooked and healthy. Cheap and super comfortable.
