The checkout conversation was good: the woman listened and spoke with me, but by then the problems had already happened. The manager’s mother was the only person who showed warmth. She was friendly, though she didn’t deal with the issues early or in a timely way. Nobody showed us around the hotel or explained what it offered, and there was no discussion of special deals. My girlfriend and I arrived around 7 pm to go sightseeing. It seemed they didn’t know about our reservation, and the welcome felt unfriendly, perhaps because they were wary. It stayed that way even after they confirmed I was the person who had booked on the site. I asked about breakfast, was told they’d check whether it was possible, and never heard back. The room faced the street, and the noise woke me at 3:30 am. I raised the serious noise issue the next morning. Double glazing could help. They offered options far below what we’d asked for: either a room without a TV or one behind the kitchen with a small bed. There were three rooms available, including one with very similar features that hadn’t been booked. The last room was described as slightly more expensive and unavailable to change because more guests might arrive. They knew about the problem but made no real effort to help or move us, and the alternatives were still well below what we’d paid for. There’s no entry or exit sound and no constant security, though the door stays wide open. A sound could help staff know when someone arrives and greet them, if possible. The shower cables were disconnected (photo), and road noise comes through at night, especially after 5:00 AM. They hadn’t even replaced the remote batteries, which could eventually damage it since people tend to press buttons harder when the signal is weak. Communication with customers is very poor. The hotel gives no information about free things to do in La Vega. There are no budget or expensive plans, special offers, or hotel-linked discounts. If they listened to advice, tried to fix things for travelers, and took a more active role in helping, they could be excellent whether or not they were near the town center. I’m new to this app, but I’ve traveled for years on another app as both a host and a guest. The app itself is flawed too: hosts can post vague room descriptions, and users can’t directly see other guests’ reviews. You might assume that a property near the top of the listings is one of the best, but that isn’t true.

The room was filthy, the place was dirty and badly neglected, and breakfast was terrible. It’s very expensive for somewhere so basic.

Whenever I visit La Vega, I stay here. The rooms are comfortable, the facilities are lovely, and the TVs have Netflix. Staff are attentive and the service is excellent. I think it’s the best lodging option in La Vega. Highly recommend it.

Really cute place, with good prices and great service. The food is delicious, the pool is clean, and the beds are big and comfortable. There’s also a Smart TV with Netflix.
