Hotel Platinum Barranquilla

The layout is strange, and the front door stays locked, so I got used to coming and going through the basement parking. It feels like an odd combination of hotel, hourly motel, and a clothes and jewelry storefront that never seems to sell anything.

The service made me feel like a nuisance instead of a paying guest. Check-in took forever, and the front desk attendant seemed more focused on their phone and joking with the other attendants than helping me. The room was filthy. The bed was lumpy, and the bathroom had mold and mildew everywhere. I couldn't bring myself to take a proper shower there. The hotel itself was gloomy, with peeling paint and stained, threadbare carpets and floors. My stay at Hotel Platinum Barranquilla was a nightmare from beginning to end. I deeply regret booking there. I'd rather stay in the South of Barranquilla. Save yourself the misery and choose somewhere else in Barranquilla. This place is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone should avoid this hotel to steer clear of the problems many guests have been experiencing. I plan to file a complaint about the multiple issues and have a meeting with the Tourism Department of Barranquilla because of the horrible business here. This is literally the worst hotel in Barranquilla. I also don't believe the five-star reviews are real. Hotel Management is writing them and begging people to post five stars and lie.

After breakfast the next morning, we put our luggage in a taxi and left for The Vallclaire Suites, which was a nice hotel. Once there, I looked for money in my luggage that I knew had been there when we went to eat. This place has denied wrongdoing so far. I'm going back with the Police to see what their cameras show, and I'll report them to every Booking Agency out there. Avoid this place like Covid-19. To Be Continued.... Thank You, A.Parker, Orlando . Florida I arrived at Hotel Platinum Barranquilla on Tuesday 2/15/2022 around 11:30 am and asked for a room. The receptionist showed me one that was one-star at best. I was tired, so I accepted. I showed her the Booking.com price, but she quoted 95,000 Colombian pesos instead of the advertised 65,000. After 30 or 40 minutes, she said the room would be ready at 3pm. About an hour later she said it was ready, then took me to a room on the 4th floor, with no elevator. It was nothing like the room on the 2nd floor, and the accommodations were absolutely disgusting. I was so angry I said I was going to lunch, but I was too frustrated to eat. I went back and asked them to bring my luggage down. A young guy named Luis was helping me. While I waited, someone who looked like a manager, named Jorge or George in English, said he'd help. They changed my room to the second floor, but it wasn't much better. I waited for my girlfriend to arrive. When she saw the room, she almost refused to stay. We went to dinner about 10pm and got back at 11:30. There were too many problems from the start through the moment I reached the other nice hotel.
