The staff were so friendly, cheerful, and helpful that The Oxford is going to be my regular place whenever I travel to Barranquilla. The rooms were tidy, well maintained, and nicely decorated, and the hotel was very nice overall. The price was reasonable too.

The breakfast area is tiny, and the service there couldn't keep up with demand. This is a small place with room to improve. Staff try to help, but communication between receptionists needs work; arranging a reservation felt uncertain. I'd rate it three stars overall.

We booked a King Deluxe room with a patio and city views, arriving late for a one-night stay. Instead, they put us in a windowless room. When I asked for the room I'd paid for, I was told that mistakes happen, no other rooms were available, and they could refund us, with good luck finding somewhere else after 10 pm. We managed to book another place. Be warned: what you reserve may not be what you get, and they may expect you to accept whatever room is available. The service was terrible.
