Hotel Windsor Barranquilla

The service was wonderful, from the front desk to the restaurant waiters and the maid. Everyone was helpful and attentive. Our rooms were clean, with WiFi and hot water, and breakfast was included. The location is excellent, with lots of restaurants within walking distance, plus a pharmacy, supermarket, and other small shops. I’d definitely return.

The balcony had a great view, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Staff were extremely pleasant, especially Carolina at the front desk, who had an incredible smile and was easily the sweetest person there. There was a breakfast buffet every morning, and they try hard to set up romantic arrangements for special occasions if you ask, even on the rooftop. The stay was pleasant, and the shower had a tub and nice hot water.

The beds were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was pretty good and filling. The pool was a nice place to spend those awfully hot afternoons. The hotel looks impressive, though it seems to have seen better days. The room, especially the bathroom, needs a thorough cleaning and repairs. For Barranquilla, it was still a really pleasant stay.

The location is good, and the room seemed nice enough for the price, but it was too uncomfortable to matter. The common areas weren’t well ventilated or air conditioned, so check-in was easy but uncomfortably hot. The room’s air conditioner wasn’t powerful enough either. After four hours of running it, the room was still unbearably hot for me, and I had to leave. The staff were friendly, but when I explained why I was leaving early, they didn’t seem to care about my experience. Maybe Colombians used to the heat would be fine, but I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists. Even my Colombian girlfriend found the hotel and room hot. I’d choose an Airbnb instead.
