We went for the day, arriving by boat around 10:30 am and heading back at 2:30 pm because of the boat schedule. The owner was there and so attentive and friendly, and we were welcomed with fresh lemonade and a beautiful view. It felt calm and relaxing, with nobody bothering us. We got two chairs and had lunch, asking for the food at a particular time so we could digest and still take one last dip. When it came, it was so good. The fish was fresh and delicious. The hotel is brand new, and the owner let us see inside. We’re already planning to come back and stay a couple of nights, it looks like a lovely place to recharge with sun, good food, and a great atmosphere.

A quiet private island getaway, with wonderful staff, beautiful views, and excellent food. The ferry ride over the water from Cartagena takes just 20 minutes. Every room has its own bathroom, and falling asleep to the waves is something I won’t forget. It was the perfect escape from my busy lifestyle.

Mar Baru Beach House has direct access to one of Cartagena’s most beautiful beaches. It’s tucked away from the crowds, with lovely views and service that’s hard to match at nearby places. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the local food was delicious. I had a very relaxing weekend there.

We arrived late after a long day of travel, and the kitchen was almost closing. The staff still made meals for us, so we didn’t have to go to bed hungry. They were kind and accommodating, and that extra effort meant a lot. We had a great stay at Mar Barú Beach House.

The food was excellent, and the welcome was just as lovely. The facilities felt pleasant and inviting, and Hotel Mar Baru is in the quietest part of Isla Baru. Rosanna and Mauro, the owners, were attentive and warm, as was the staff, especially Karla. Highly recommended.
