Each bed has its own privacy curtain and reading light, which was great. The hostel is in a safe area, and breakfast includes toast, coffee, milk, cereal, and fruit. There didn't seem to be a takeaway option for guests heading out early, though.

We felt safe and comfortable here, and the walls are covered with beautiful paintings. There are good spaces to hang out, with a great upstairs lobby and a kitchen downstairs. The bathrooms were reasonably clean. We’re new to South America, so we don’t know if the showers’ low pressure is normal, but the water was hot. The location works well if you're staying in Bogota longer, right by Chapinero in a lively area that feels safe. For tourists with only a short time, La candelaria would suit us better, since Chapinero isn't really worth the walk. The staff's English was limited. The woman working there came across as a bit rude, and we didn't feel welcome, even though I tried my best to speak Spanish. The guy was kind and did his best to communicate with us.

My swetter was stolen while I was having lunch downstairs, and staff didn't do anything useful to help or offer a solution. Fausto (or Franco, I can't remember which name the receptionist used) had a really bad attitude when I asked for help. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you care about your belongings. To the owner’s response: I arrived wearing a jacket over a swetter, with a shirt underneath. Your receptionist has a photo of the swetter under the jacket. The stolen item was the swetter, not the jacket. He asked if it was expensive, and I said it was from a Colombia designer. I have a photo taken at your hostel showing me with the jacket and the swetter that was stolen. The receptionist showed no empathy and only told me to wait for it to turn up. I said things don't appear by magic and we needed to do something. He said the owner was on vacation and he couldn't make you respond. If you can't be there, staff should at least have a protocol to check the cameras. I live in Bogotá and stayed because I had a fashion event that night and didn't want to drive home tired. I never expected someone to steal my clothes, or the hostel to have no good process for helping. I'm not crazy for complaining about a jacket I was wearing. Again, it was my swetter that was stolen at your hostel. You should have looked into it before replying. I received no call or apology, only that nonsense answer. If you care about your belongings and expect decent treatment, don't stay here.

It’s such a welcoming place. I felt loved every time I walked through the door, and the location puts you VERY close to everything. Thank you for the stay, it was excellent in every way.
