The location was perfect, the staff were friendly, and everything was clean. But the bed was the worst I’ve ever slept on. It was so soft that we had back pain every day, and a deep dip had formed where people lie. Honestly, I’d have preferred no bed.

The house and rooms are gorgeous, and I absolutely love the place. But there was a moldy smell in the rooms, which I assume came from the old house, and it made me quite sick. Some clothes I had near the walls also got moldy, so I had to throw them away.

The staff keep everything spotlessly clean, and Pilar is quick to get problems resolved, which is why this feels like home to me. I’ve rented here several times since November 2019, and since 2021 my favorite has been an apartment with direct roof terrace access. Altogether, I’ve spent over two and a half years of my life here. There are options from rooms to fully furnished apartments for whole families, all in top condition. The building is on one of Bogotá’s most characteristic streets, where cars and motorcycles aren’t allowed. Plaza Bolivar is at the end of the street, no more than a ten-minute walk away, with great restaurants, bars, museums, and other amenities practically around the corner. The price is very good too, especially for a long stay like mine.

The location was the only good part. Our room was completely different from what we booked and half the size. The receptionist said the larger apartments were occupied by groups of more than two, even though we’d booked and paid for one through Booking. Getting in touch with the owner was difficult: the number took some Googling to find, and the Booking contact never replied. Nobody spoke English either, so we got a chance to practice our Spanish.
