Hotel Confort 80 Zona Rosa

This place is on the outskirts of Zona rosa, a long walk from Zona Rosa, and the area feels unsafe. The hotel also costs more than it should, so I can't recommend staying here. We booked four nights. On the second day, we arranged an outside massage service since the hotel doesn't offer massages in-house. The front desk agent, Sebastian, told us the hotel's "politics" were that anyone entering a room counted as a guest and had to be charged. They wanted to charge us 80thou COP for each massage worker. I explained those people were there to provide a service, not as hotel guests using water and electricity, as the agent claimed. The workers had massage chairs and were even in uniform, but there was no consideration. Please read this before booking.

The room was very basic and not welcoming, with a lot of outside noise. The staff were okay, but getting things I asked for took several tries. On my first day I needed an ice pack available because of oral surgery, so I asked for a fridge in my room. I called three times and kept being told it was coming right up. It only arrived at 6pm after I went down to the lobby and asked again. The same thing happened with a hair dryer. I had to ask three times before I got it.

The first night we were in a room without hot water, so we had to move. I also sent out a small bag of laundry through them, and another company charged an insane 120,000 pesos by the piece. One pair of pants alone cost 18,000 pesos, and the manager wouldn't do anything about it. We were paying 170,000 per night for a matrimonial room. We moved across the street to Lago Chico Inn, which was also a very nice hotel, and paid 100,000 per night instead. I'm very angry.

Just what you need for a short stay in Bogotá. It's a basic hotel, but very good for what it is, with clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and everything working.
