Cosmos 116 Hotel

The room was the main letdown: it had no soap or shampoo, the towels were rock hard, sound insulation was poor with outside noise until 2 am, and the shower backed up. I’d rate the hotel 2.5 stars overall because of the room. The service was very good, though, and staff brought soap and towels when we asked. Breakfast was very good too.

Across the street there are plenty of good hotels, so avoid this one at all costs. The price is INSANE, and staying here was a huge mistake. It was extremely noisy at night, and the room was tiny and hadn’t been cleaned. As other reviews have said, many of the five-star ratings were bought. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The staff were all super friendly and eager to help with a smile, even though a couple of them know only a little English. The free breakfast was super yummy, the rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and there’s a mini fridge and free Wi-Fi in the room. One Sixteen @onesixteenhotel is an amazing #hotel in north of #Bogota #BOG, on the famous, vibrant Calle 116. There are lots of restaurants around, including a couple of pizza shops, and plenty to do. I like getting water, juices, and basic food at D1, which is 200 meters away. There’s no air conditioner, but it isn’t needed, and sometimes I feel like I need a heater at night 😉 The washroom is super small, and there’s no kettle or coffee ☕️ machine 😢 I’d suggest management provide at least a kettle for tea or instant coffee 🙏

The location made it easy to get to other major parts of sprawling Bogota, so it worked well for business travel too. My husband and I had a great experience here. It’s a boutique hotel but still very spacious, and every staff member we met was as helpful and friendly as could be. We even had the room deck to ourselves one evening, which was so nice. It clearly has experienced, well-seasoned management. Highly recommended.
