Being near the US embassy was very convenient, and the price was good. Breakfast was included, the employees were kind, and there’s a grocery store, beauty salons, and restaurants nearby. But in room 101 I could feel every mattress spring. The towels smelled bad, though they replaced them with good ones when I asked. The shower head was broken and sprayed everywhere except down. A heater would really help in the open breakfast area, since Bogotá mornings are usually below 10°C. Another guest said the upstairs rooms were so cold they couldn’t sleep all night.

We chose this place for its location near the embassy. On the day we were meant to check in, they messaged to say they had no availability and offered a room at their other hotel instead. That one is far from the embassy, and its reviews mention cockroaches and other insects. It felt like a bait and switch, with terrible, dishonest business practices.
