We planned to stay a few nights but moved hostals the next morning. Our ground-floor room was tiny, with twin beds, and people stood right outside the window talking and smoking all night. The guy was fairly rude when we said we were leaving. The hostal wasn't so bad by itself, but the location and noise were. If it's not full, they could have moved us upstairs so people weren't having conversations and smoking by our bedroom, but they wouldn't. Find somewhere else unless you like hippies, homeless people, and drum circles. The area near the plaza, but not right beside it, is pretty cool. The plaza just outside is small and full of homeless people, vendors, hippies, hipsters, and police. There was loud music, drum circles, and sing-alongs.

The staff were always available and very helpful, and the pizza was amazing. Our bed wasn't very comfortable, but at that price it was okay. There was no hot water in the shower.

The staff were nice and helpful, and I have nothing negative to say. I had a good private room in La Candelaria, a lively neighborhood with lots going on. A good place to stay.

My husband and I come back to Casa Quevedo every year. We love the pizzas, its location, and the genuine, personal attention. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The host was friendly, and the building was clean and nice. The plaza nearby gets noisy at night, though, and breakfast was average. It felt a little overpriced overall.
