Hotel Castellana 100

It’s a nice hotel with excellent service, and it works well for a family holiday, a large group, or a personal or business trip. The space is limited, but adequate.

It’s in a safe spot, well placed for getting around and close to everything. The receptionist was warm and friendly, knew her job and the city, and was very helpful with recommendations and requests.

The room we were told was their best was tiny and cost $218,000 plus tax, $250,000 total. We had to call every day to get the TV fixed. At checkout, when they tried to charge us for water, I explained what had gone wrong during our stay. The answer was, “Why don't you ask for a room change?” But when I had raised the situation earlier, nobody offered us one. They also have poor minibar inventory control. We didn’t touch it, yet they tried to charge us for water we never drank. The waitress said she had refilled it the day before, which wasn’t true. We don’t drink OMI water from D1, thank you very much. And the kitchen lady prepared breakfast with a cold and no mask, coughing over the ham and cheese. I have proof. There were zero hygiene standards.

The rooms were spotless and looked really nice, though the towels could have been changed more often. Some of the reception staff also came across as a bit lacking in warmth and seemed to be in a bad mood. Thank you.
