Hotel CGH Bogota Airport

The location and the friendly staff earned the two stars. My room, though, was a former garage on the ground floor, with cars parked right outside the window. I worried someone might reverse into the room, and drivers often left their engines running for a long time. Exhaust got in through the window and gaps, leaving a strong smell that made me gag. There was also no real rest from the noise. Being below reception and the main floor meant I constantly heard people coming and going. The door was paper-thin, so I could hear the guest opposite talking with family for hours, right up until he checked out after midnight. Planes taking off and landing were loud and frequent too. The bathroom was small, and the shower drained so poorly that the floor flooded almost right away. With no window or fan in the shower area, damp and mildew smells quickly spread into the room. It might do if you only need a basic place to rest for a few hours before an early flight. For an overnight stay, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re sensitive to noise or need a comfortable, restful environment.
