Hotel Plata

Nice place.

The surroundings felt so unsettling that I left without taking any pictures. The neighborhood didn't seem very welcoming, and the hotel looked old and had a bad vibe. It also looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com. I had emailed ahead to say immigration delays might make me arrive late, but nobody replied. Given all that, the stay seemed expensive compared with much better places at a similar price.

The hotel was in good condition and had a lovely view. It was very peaceful, and communication with the concierge was very good. I recommend it.

It's so noisy at all hours. At night there are parties and drunken arguments, then in the daytime there's construction and more drunk people. The street is filthy too, and I didn't feel it was very safe for tourists. The room was cramped, with a hard bed and old, broken, dirty furniture. The sheets were dirty and fuzzy. The bathroom was old and smelled odd, and the towels were worn out and smelly. Even my pets don't have towels this bad. Nothing is included. The receptionists are unfriendly and have a terrible attitude, like they're doing you a favor. Look elsewhere, there are better places.
