Hotel Continental By Hours

It looks like a good hotel, but the reality was quite different. We arrived at 10 pm when it was 11 degrees Celsius, and there was no hot water. It was a nightmare. The breakfast was poor, bad, and had little variety. They didn't even have butter. There was no internet, and the TV only worked with internet access. Avoid this place at all costs.

We booked a Deluxe room, but got a tiny, stifling room on 9 floor (905A). There wasn't enough space to fully open a suitcase, and two people couldn't stand or pass each other. Calling it “deluxe” is misleading. The walls were paper thin, so we heard neighbors' phone conversations and people having sex in the next room multiple times a night. With no sound insulation, sleeping was impossible. There was no hot water, just freezing or barely warm water, and the automatic faucet shut off every few seconds, so shaving or washing your face wasn't possible. The hotel smelled of old dust, as if it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. Hygiene standards seemed very low. The included breakfast was underwhelming too, with no variety, mostly empty containers, no milk, no hot water, nothing. We waited about 20 minutes just to ask for scrambled eggs. I strongly regret choosing this hotel. It ruined our stay in Bogotá, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place.

My stay was terrible. On the first day, the internet was out for 6 hours, which also meant no TV. Then on my last day, they told me without warning that I had to leave at 10am instead of noon. I tried to explain how inconvenient that was, but nobody cared. They just wanted the gringo gone. Spend more money and stay somewhere better.

Just an OK hotel, about 3 out of 5. Service was below average, and the breakfast area was full of dirty tables. Nobody cleared the used dishes after guests left. There was no view from the windows and no AC. Opening a window let in truck and car diesel pollution, along with a lot of noise. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
