The TV had no signal at all, and since I needed to stay indoors for my own safety, that mattered to me. I asked to move rooms, but they said they could look into it the next day because they were fully booked for two days. There was also a problem with the safe. Staff had to reset it, and one person brought a bag containing reset keys labeled for safes on floors 5 through 11, then left the bag in my room and never came back. I searched through it for my room's key and tried resetting the safe myself. The AA batteries were an issue too. I found some used batteries in the bag, including three Duracells, though I don't know whether they were good, and replaced three of the four. I booked through booking.com, and the single-glazed windows let in a lot of outside noise.

We arrived at 2:30 PM for the advertised 3 PM check-in, but at 4 PM around 60 people were still waiting. They handed out queue numbers, then kept serving people at random without getting to any of the numbered guests. We were still waiting to check in, with no idea whether it would take another two hours. Avoid this place at all costs.

The price is reasonable, the location is really good, and rooms on higher floors have incredible views of the jungle and monseratte. My check-in was a mess, though. I was arriving at 6am, so I booked the previous night to make sure the room would be ready and explained that to the hotel several times. They still marked me as a no-show, then took 30 minutes to check me in. One woman was very helpful, but the two receptionists were hopeless, even after I used translate and showed them my booking and our Spanish conversation on booking.com.

It's a cheap place in a good location, so it may be worth considering. Just know that the counter service is TERRIBLE.

The breakfast was the worst I've ever seen, and it didn't even include basics like butter. The hotel also needs renovating. I'd pay a little more to stay somewhere else.
