The window noise was the main problem. They were supposedly soundproof, but they didn’t block the sounds around the building at all. You could hear everything from the next room, outside when the train passed, and from the big streets crossing a huge intersection in Bogota. The location is particularly bad for that, especially since the windows aren’t properly adjusted. I raised the issue. First they said they’d come check, as if I might not know how to close a window. It was closed. Then they said they’d move me, but on the second day they started ignoring me. I had to book somewhere else in a more peaceful area. I can deal with noise, but this was too much. Three years ago I rented in the same building and had the same problem. They moved me to a higher floor then and promised soundproofing improvements. Three years later, the issue is still there. So yes, my fault for believing them. I paid for four nights, what a waste of money.
