Hotel Novotel Bogota Parque 93

The breakfast staff tried hard to understand what we wanted, but most mornings our omelets still came out wet and runny, which we don't like. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and presentable, the room felt comfortable and inviting, and the front desk staff were welcoming and accommodating. It's a good place to stay in Bogota, within walking distance of restaurants, pharmacies, a mall with a movie theater, Western Union, and more.

We paid $80 SGD a night at Novotel Bogota Parque 93, compared with $95 SGD at Ibis Bogota Museo, where breakfast was included but there was no bathtub, coffee or tea, or fridge. Our room at Novotel had all of those. The ride from Ibis Bogota Museo took about 25 minutes, and check-in was prompt. The receptionists also spoke English much better. Our room was on level 7. The breakfast buffet was good, and the location was convenient. Still, the cleanliness was disappointing, and this didn't meet the usual Accor standards. I expected more. I've stayed at Novotel properties in Canada, Rome, Paris, and Thailand and have always been satisfied, but this experience fell short.

The staff's behavior was outstanding, and the stay itself was okay. But for what the room costs, I expected basic amenities like a dental kit, a bottle of water each day, tea and coffee in the room, and slippers. Other hotels provide these readily.
