We had a fantastic Sunday lunch before, with very nice service and wonderful food, so we came back and ordered the Oso buco again. This time, it was completely different. Instead of the lovely long-cooked sauce with braised tomatoes, it came in what seemed like a quickly made marinara. The chef came over and explained that the proper sauce wasn't ready and reduced. He took the dish back to the kitchen and mixed in some unreduced sauce to try to save it. That helped a little, but it was still nowhere near the flavor of the braised Oso buco sauce. I really dislike inconsistent dishes, especially after looking forward to having that Oso buco again. I'm not sure we'll return, and unfortunately I have to revise my first very positive review.
