My room was upstairs, in the part of the building where rooms 5, 6, and 7 are. It was freezing because the roof is just thin fiber cement with no insulation. You could hear every raindrop, too, and there was no heating. The only extra blanket was very thin, and there was nobody in the building to ask for another one. I slept in my daytime clothes. I wouldn’t even think about taking a shower. The area also felt unsafe after dark. The one good thing was being close to the National Museum. I’d paid in full a few days before check-in, but they hadn’t sent the entry code by the time I arrived. I had to text them in the rain to ask for it, and nobody was there. They’d also pushed me to pay in advance even though I’d booked with my credit card details. I checked out just 5 or 6 minutes after the 11 am deadline, and at 11:10 they messaged me warning me to leave. That was really rude. No customer was waiting for the room, and the cleaning lady already had two other rooms to do. I’ve never had an experience like that.
