Virrey Park

The staff are great, the location is good, and there are great restaurants downstairs. But the room problems were a lot: no AC, a mini fridge that didn’t work, and beds as hard as a rock, the worst I’ve ever slept on. The walls are paper thin, so you hear the whole street. The water heater barely works and sometimes the water cuts out. The bathroom floods because there’s no drainage, leaving the floor wet for hours. In my friend’s room the lights flickered, and half the outlets in mine didn’t work.

We had a pleasant overnight stay. The staff were nice and helpful, and the hotel sits in a quiet, green area. The beds and bathroom facilities were okay. The rooms are somewhat dated and noisy, but breakfast was good, and the Italian restaurant was very good.

I left after just one day because it was so loud. The hotel’s on a busy street, noisy all night, and the lobby gets loud in the morning. The rooms are very outdated too, with old furniture and bathroom fittings. Even the power outlets barely held the plugs.

The mattress was the hardest I’ve ever come across, but otherwise the room was fine. I liked the view over the park, and nighttime noise wasn’t an issue. Good service and a perfect location for walking to Parque 93, Zona Rosa, and the shops. There are so many places to eat, and breakfast was good too.
