Zana Hotel Boutique

It took me about three weeks to decide to write this. I went from being outright angry to feeling confused and disappointed. This was one of the worst parts of my vacation, and I don't understand how the hotel has 4 stars here. The hotel was freezing and damp, a terrible combination. I was sick, and the conditions made me feel worse, which has never happened to me before. Nobody seemed to care that I was ill or cold. I asked several times for a heater before the angry man there finally brought me a broken one. Whenever I spoke with him, he seemed impatient, irritated, and superior. He was also annoyed that I spoke Spanish, even though most people on this trip had supported and encouraged me to use it so I could communicate at all. There was no cold water for showers, and you could hear everything outside, including every conversation and loud early morning chats from strange people. My clothes were dirty from the previous week, but when I asked about laundry, the staff didn't want to help. I understand it was the weekend, but they could at least have offered options or been more understanding. It was weird. The all-inclusive breakfast isn't worth it at all. You can get the same thing at pretty much any other hotel, or easily make it yourself. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, ever. Sorry to the one girl who was nice, but her two coworkers really weren't. The place also had sort of.. not ethnic-y vibes, if you know what I mean? Not great for families. My mom was cold the whole time too, and I wasn't happy about that.

The hotel itself was okay, but the whole experience was bad and I won't be back. The room wasn't cleaned, and I want to warn other tourists about using the woman in the building for laundry. She ripped me off and didn't return my clothes at the agreed time.

It's very centrally located, with nice accommodations for the price.
