Eco Hotel Los Erizos

The rooms were clean and adequate, but the power goes off in the morning and stays off until night, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, so there wasn’t real privacy. We won’t be back. We enjoyed the Rosario islands thanks to the scenery and spending our days at Coralina Island hotel next door. Its food and service were lovely, and they welcomed us warmly. We returned there for lunch the next day and breakfast the day after to avoid eating at our hotel. The meals here took at least an hour, so we started ordering an hour and a half ahead and telling them when we wanted to eat. Cocktails took 30-60 minutes, and once, after we’d already waited 45 minutes, they ran out of tequila and we had to choose something else. The first day we ordered lobster, corvina fish, and grilled chicken for my friend with celiac disease, after checking whether they could prepare safe gluten-free food. They assured us it was gluten-free. She didn’t get sick, but they served fries on the same plate without guaranteeing they were safe, then said plain rice wasn’t gluten-free, which was bizarre since it’s a common gluten-free substitute. They later said the lobster was unavailable, so we switched to another corvina. Two hours later, just one fish arrived. Without telling us, they had canceled the second corvina order, leaving one of us without lunch. Every time, the service was so slow and disappointing. Choose somewhere else to stay.
