The rooms were clean, the sheets fresh, and the hot water worked reliably. Room service was trustworthy and efficient, too. The staff at Provenza Garden Hotel were so friendly and accommodating, and even helped arrange private tours at reasonable prices, which made exploring much easier and more enjoyable. It may not match a five-star hotel in the U.S., but for a developing country, I thought it was excellent. A comfortable, welcoming stay with great service.

There’s no real ventilation, and the window is fake. The room feels like a large cupboard, with just a bed and small bedside tables. Not even one chair.

Restaurants, shops, and great places to enjoy Medellín are all close by. The hotel itself felt welcoming, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were lovely, always friendly and ready to help. I definitely want to come back.

When I booked, I accidentally listed one guest instead of two. They charged 150,000 pesos for each night my girlfriend stayed with me, 300,000 pesos for two nights, even though booking for one or two people costs the same. It felt like a rip-off. One morning she left before me and missed her taxi because the staff wouldn’t let her leave. They came to my door to ask whether she could go. The staff also called my girlfriend a prostitute. If you’re staying as a couple and your wife is attractive, be aware that the staff may consider her a prostitute.
